Mr. George is Co-Head of Engagement and Active Ownership. In this role, he is responsible for developing and leading TCW’s engagement and active ownership efforts across the firm’s investment platform, as a part of the Sustainable Investment Group. Prior to joining TCW, he was Head of Active Ownership at Engine No. 1 where he oversaw the active ownership and proxy voting strategy across the firm’s fund portfolio companies. Before Engine No. 1, he worked at JUST Capital, where he led the organization’s corporate engagement strategy, oversaw the racial equity portfolio, and assisted with investor-related engagement. He began his career within the Global Capital Markets division at Barclay’s Capital. Mr. George serves on the Investment Committee and Board of Trustees for the NAACP and is a member of the Board of Directors for Net Impact. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Trinity College.
