Mr. Katz is a Securitized Product Specialist in the Fixed Income group. He joined TCW in 2012 and brings the firm extensive experience with prior roles at Western Asset Management Company (WAMCO) and Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO). At WAMCO he served across multiple functions including Senior Portfolio Manager, Trader, and Research Analyst, in addition to co-heading the RMBS team. Prior to that, Mr. Katz was a Senior Portfolio Associate at PIMCO. Mr. Katz began his career at Republic National Bank of New York as Closing Analyst. Mr. Katz graduated with Honors from the University of Florida with a BS in Finance and holds an MBA in Finance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.

Mr. Van Gelderen is a Specialist Portfolio Manager in the Fixed Income group and is Co-Head of Global Securitized. Most recently, he was Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Securitized Markets at American Century Investments, where he was responsible for all Core, Core Plus, Income and Government mortgage funds and ETFs. Within Securitized Markets, he oversaw a broad range of products across credit sub-sectors. Previously, Mr. Van Gelderen was Co-Head of Guggenheim Partners’ $38 billion Structured Credit investment desk for eight years, where he guided investment strategy and oversaw investment sourcing, analysis, and trade execution. Prior to that, he also served as a Senior Trader and Portfolio Manager for Structured Products at Stark Investments and Vice President of Whole Loan Transaction Management at Countrywide Securities Corporation. He started his career with Thelen Reid & Priest LLP where he was an Associate for the Business and Finance Department. Mr. Van Gelderen holds a BA in English from Duke University and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Mr. Bea is a Senior Securitized Products Analyst, specializing in asset-backed securities. Prior to TCW, he worked for eight years in various roles at Guggenheim Partners, including as Director for Asset Backed Securities and as Vice President for Infrastructure Private Equity. Mr. Bea served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps, where held the rank of Captain and received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Prior to his military service, he was an Analyst at Morgan Stanley. He received a BA in History from Stanford University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley.
